WHY do the objectors to wind turbines cite the ?preservation? of Dartmoor as a reason for rejecting them? Dartmoor has been a site for small industry over centuries. To follow their argument through they should also be campaigning for the removal of all evidence of mining on Dartmoor, for example. Have I missed that part of their campaign? I happen to believe that groups of intelligently sited turbines are not out of character with the Moor and its history and they can surely make an urgently needed contribution to our looming energy crisis. We need to open every door we can. Paul Wilson 117 Station Road Okehampton
