OKEHAMPTON Library will be hosting a discussion on the afterlife with writer Anthony Peake on April 16. Peake's book Is There Life After Death? uses quantum physics, neurology and consciousness studies scientifically to investigate what may subjectively take place at the point of death. He suggests that consciousness literally falls out of time at the moment of death and continues to live within a subjective version of reality, similar to that in films such as The Matrix and Vanilla Sky. This is Peake's first book, but it has received excellent reviews. His talk begins at 7.30pm — entrance is £2.50
