STUDENTS at Kelly College celebrated World Book Day last week by attending a book fair held in the college's library.
Set up in association with Book Stop, Tavistock, the book fair celebrated the joy of reading. As part of a special schedule for the day, pupils visited the fair with their respective English classes.
The library was filled with a wide range of new fiction and non-fiction books. Among these were a number of fiction tales including 'The Hobbit', 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' and Roald Dahl's classic, 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. The diversity of books that filled the library proved popular and captured the imaginations of the pupils. Books focusing on the work of Bristol-based artist Banksy immediately caught the eye of Kelly's art scholars. Similarly, a number of the College's athletes rushed to pick up copies of Bradley Wiggins' book.
Book Stop generously donated a percentage of sales back to the school library.
