A PRACTICAL and informative event for small businesses in Ruby Country is planned for the start of March. The Ruby Country Initiative will be running the latest in its successful series of workshops for small businesses located in Ruby Country on Wednesday March 5. The workshop will be held from 9.15am to 3.30pm at Cookworthy Forest Centre. It will be relevant to owners and managers of visitor accommodation, visitor attractions, farms and estates that host members of the public on their land. There will be talks by experts to cover the practicalities and legalities of hosting visitors on a premises or property. Topics covered will include health and safety, the disability discrimination act, environmental health, risk assessment and insurance. The event costs £20.
