THERE will be all sorts of fun for everyone to enjoy when the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton holds a week of free workshops next week.

The workshops will run from Monday, August 2 until Friday, August 6 and will include lantern making on Monday August 2, a graffiti workshop on Tuesday, August 3, pin-hole photography on Wednesday, August 4 and felt making on Thursday, August 5.

West Devon folk music charity Wren Music will also do two afternoon sessions on Tuesday, August 3 and Thursday, August 5.

On Friday, August 6 work from the week will be shown in the museum courtyard, where a free barbecue will also be available with live music from 4.30pm until 8pm.

The workshops are part of a Devon-wide initiative also running in Totnes, Newton Abbot and Torquay.

The workshops aim to encourage young people to see museums as fun, interesting and educational places to visit.

All materials will be provided and under 14s should be accompanied by an adult.
