THE popular carnival draw in Tavistock was officially launched on Saturday ? and the first prize is limited edition print of a painting by a West Country artist. The print, entitled, ?Catching the Breeze? by artist Wendy McBride, was donated by the Artframe Gallery in Tavistock. The second prize is a Casio ?Exilim? 10Mpixel digital camera donated by Keith Hall, of Dartmoor Photographic. There are many more prizes and tickets will be on sale on various Saturdays and Sundays in Bedford Square and Morrison?s. Carnival organisers Tavistock Lions Club thanked the town council for its support and Morrison?s for the use of space for ticket sales. The draw takes place in Bedford Square on Saturday July 21 after the carnival parade.
