ALL kinds of wool are desperately needed to make jumpers for children in Africa. Linda Downing, the Buckland Monachorum co- ordinator for Operation Sunshine, said that her knitters in the area had knitted more than 16,000 jumpers for the children over the years, but the supply of wool had virtually dried up. 'My knitters are phoning me saying they have no wool left,' she said. Anyone who has any kind of wool to donate can drop it in to Tavistock Library and it will be forwarded on.
