I WOULD just like to say how wonderful a job your local contractor, Focsa, did on cleaning up the streets of Tavistock after Goose Fair last week.
On my outbound journey at 3am the following morning I was dismayed at the amount of debris and rubbish that had been left from the fair and its followers. However, on my return journey, just three hours later, the streets of Tavistock had returned to their usual pristine condition.
What would we do without such dedicated people?

TAVISTOCK Hackney Carriage Association would like to thank Sgt Ian Woods and colleagues at Tavistock Police Station, Tavistock Town Council and West Devon Borough Council for the smooth running of traffic (excluding the boat incident!) during Goose Fair last Wednesday.
We would also like to thank the town council for their help while the trees were being removed from the churchyard.
We would especially like to thank Douggie for being the best source of entertainment since he put the Christmas tree on the town hall last Christmas!
