WOMEN from several churches in Tavistock gathered to organise a local service for the international Women's World Day of Prayer (WWDP).

The service was held at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street and was attended by more than 70 people — both men and women.

The guest speaker was the Rev Phyllis Ball who shared her experiences of the Women's World Day of Prayer in Egypt.
