POLICE in the Gunnislake area are appealing for witnesses following a high-value burglary earlier this month.

Thieves broke into a cottage in St Anne's Chapel and stole property, including some valuable specialist audio visual items, between November 28 and December 2.

A JVC video projector valued at £5,500 was taken, and several sets of speakers, a Devon DVD player, as well as an expensive sub-woofer and a set of MK speakers worth £2,600 were among the haul, which totalled around £16,000.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information relating to this incident to contact 101, quoting crime reference number BN/12/779.
