ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a fourball better ball Stableford for The Winter Trophy was held in sunny conditions.

Winners of division one and The Winter Trophy were Rob Camies and Barry Down with 47 points; second were Richard Camies and Nick Godfrey with 44 and third were Will Searle and Lewis Parry with 43 points. Winners of division two were Mike Charlesworth and Stephen Pike with 45 points; second were Terry Steer and Bill Tanner with 44 points on the back nine from in third Pete Okopski and Bob Barrett also with 44 points.

On November 3 the ladies of Oke GC played their qualifying medal competition. Marcia Jones had the best round with a net 74 winning the silver division; second was Pam Jarman on countback from Penny Deakin with net 77s. The bronze division was won by Lorna Evans with a net 75, on countback from Lorna McCurrach and in third place was Mary Keir net 77.

The qualifying nine hole competition was also a tie between Jean Adams and Jo Boswell both scoring 27 points. The results meant it was a reductions only contest.
