KEEPING warm this winter was the issue of the day at an event held by Tavistock Area Support Services recently.

The event was held to launch a British Gas initiative helping older people to keep warm through the winter, and included a presentation by Nina Parnell from Age UK on what financial help is available and services that could help to keep people warm during the winter.

During the presentation, Nina highlighted how important it was to make sure older people were aware of what is available to them in the way of grants.
