THESE stunning pictures of the snowy tors above Okehampton were taken by Chris Connor on Monday, December 11.

He saw snow on the top of the moor when he woke up at home near Northlew. Luckily, he had a day off work and grabbed his camera to head for the hills.

‘I woke up on Monday morning and saw the tors were white, and that was it, I got myself out of bed and got out there and took some pictures,’ he says.

‘It was such a weird day, because when I first got up there it was really grey and overcast, then within half an hour it had changed and the sun was shining.

‘The grass was encrusted with ice. There wasn’t a huge amount of snow, but there was just enough to get some nice pictures. It was beautiful.’
