THE ladies of Lifton WI held a craft and coffee morning recently to show people what they get up to when they meet.

Several tables held displays of work from WI members, ranging from quilts to Christmas cards to jewellery making.

Members run courses throughout the year, for non-members to try their hands at some of these and other crafts. The courses are friendly and run at a pace suitable for all abilities. To find out when courses are running, keep an eye on the noticeboards in Lifton and Liftondown.

Lifton WI meets every second Wednesday of the month at the Tamar Rooms at the Arundell Arms in Lifton. The WI allows women the opportunity to make new friends, have a go at learning new skills and to try to make a difference in the local community.
