CERTAIN landowners have certainly shown their true colours in attempting to argue for the restriction of organised activies on Dartmoor (Times, October 10). The figure of 18,205 participants pales into insignificance when compared to the estimated 2.39 million visitors to Dartmoor in 2011.

The economic impact of this tourism is immeasurable and that anyone, should in anyway seek to deter vistors, whether through organised activites or otherwise is beyond my comprehension.
