WHAT is happening about the old folk's rest room now that Huntstrete Properties have succeeded in their endeavours to drive the old people out — why is the building still empty, and looking so forlorn?
My understanding was that the intention was to demolish the building and use the site for retail purposes (unless my recollection is at fault). I was passing the building on Wednesday morning with my friend from Plymouth and her son, and he remarked on how desolate the building looked; he also wondered why it couldn't be used as a meeting room, or something of that sort, seeing as nobody seems to be bothering with it.
Please may we have some input from the town council?
