I WAS saddened to find on Saturday July 9 that following the bombings of July 7 in which people lost their lives or suffered, those in charge of Tavistock Town Hall had not lowered the flag to half-mast. As one of the bombings took place close to Tavistock Square in London I feel that this mark of respect would have been a particularly fitting one. I hope that the town council are suitably embarrassed by their thoughtless oversight. Name and address supplied
