A BORDER terrier puppy has been nominated the Okeford Veterinary Surgery ?Braveheart? for January. Peggy Packer, a 23-week-old border terrier was out at work with her owner and eager to help with his gardening duties. Unfortunately her enthusiasm led to a tangle, in which she tripped her owner up, causing him to land on top of her. She was brought into Okeford vets in Okehampton and after an x-ray, was found to have a fracture at the top of the tibia, the shin bone. Vet Jonathan Smallwood said: ?Border terrier puppies are renowned for getting into mischief and Peggy is no exception to that rule. ?Peggy has been a joy to have as an in-patient. She is a very happy little dog who never minds seeing us all even though she has had numerous replacement casts to her leg.?
