AN EVENT in aid of St Luke's Hospice at the Prince of Wales pub in Princetown on Saturday raised £3,222.
The fundraiser which involved a beard shave off, two moustaches being shaved off and lots of items auctioned was in memory of Liz Steele, who died at Derriford Hospital in August.
Liz was the mum of barman John Steele. She had been due to go into St Luke's when she died.
John, his sister Victoria, brother Andrew and family members said they were 'flabbergasted' by the amount raised and expressed a huge thank you to everyone who came along and donated and bought prizes.
