TAVISTOCK Wheelers Cycle Club held its annual Christmas lunch ride earlier this month.

The riders left Bedford Square and rode via Lamerton, Brentor, Mary Tavy and Hill Bridge to the Peter Tavy Inn for lunch, where club chairman Mike Deacon presented the club trophies.

Josh Bullock collected the hill climb trophy for the second year in succession having posted a new club and course record on October 3.

Geoff Whitlow was unanimously voted 'clubman of the year' — the chairman praised him for his overall contribution towards the Tavistock Wheelers and in particular, the encouragement he gives to new members on club rides.
