A WHEELCHAIR workshop was held last weekend at Tavistock College.
It was run by Owen McGhee from the Association of Wheelchair Children and was attended by disabled youngsters from the Plymouth and Cornwall areas.
It was the seventh time that Owen has travelled down from London to pass on his tips on negotiating kerbs, slopes and stairs, and general wheelchair control.
In between work sessions, the children played games like basketball and British Bulldog, and parents and able-bodied siblings had a chance to find out first hand about the difficulties of using a wheelchair.
Any parent interested in their disabled children attending further courses ? free of charge ? can contact Annie Gibbs on 01752 771975.
