A WEST Devon theatre company were seeking the help of the community recently to help their script writer find a name for the diva in a new musical.
In the Wings Theatre Company, from Tavistock, were busy at Albaston Fete getting help from fair-goers to help script writer Eames Barry find a name for the diva in his forthcoming musical production 'In the Wings: The Interlude'.
The company received more than 50 suggestions, and Eames is still in the process of choosing a name, which will be included in the script for the show in July.
The lucky winner will win tickets to the production and a special mention in the show's programme.
The company is returning to the Old Chapel in Calstock for three performances of In The Wings: The Interlude.
The Diva's life will unravel before audience's eyes with some favourite songs from musical theatre, including numbers from shows like Spamalot, Wicked, Avenue Q, My Fair Lady and also numbers from artists like Robbie Williams and Judy Garland. The show promises to deliver stunning choreography and will have toes tapping, sides splitting and hearts aching.
The performances will take place on Thursday, July 21 and Saturday, July 23 at 7.30pm, tickets for these shows are £8 for adults and £6 for under 16s when bought in advance or adults £10 and under 16s £8 if bought on the door.
