HAVING read in your paper of the council's idea of an outdoor cafe on the square patio, I'm worried that none of the councillors quoted make any mention of the effect this might have on the other cafe owners, of which two are in Brook Street, one in Market Road and two in the market perimeter.
These people pay high business rates as well as all the other overheads and I feel that if the first thing visitors see is the patio cafe they will have their fill before finding all the others.
Are the councillors looking for some reason to justify all that space?
