WHAT have we pensioners and others done to deserve this treatment?

1. No bus shelter was ever built in spite of the suggestion being made to move over the one from the primary school at the end of School Lane, many moons ago.

2. The Co-op closed where we were allowed to shelter and sit if one of the four seats was free.

If you were not lucky enough to sit, you stood by the entrance, at least it was shelter, in spite of getting in the way of customers.

3. The seat for only four people, for all people waiting for their buses, has now gone too, vanished, and it's not vandals throwing it into the river. Where is there to sit? And no shelter from the gales and rain, and of course the occasional day of hot sun.

4. Now no toilets, which means we have to go through town over the main road to the post office, unless the Charter Hall is occupied. Then the nice toilets are open and you don't need your gas masks.

In time (how long?) the new toilets will open but in the meantime we have to stand in the wind and rain to wait for our bus.
