FIRST class cricketers were the special guests at Chagford presidents' day, held last weekend.
Peter Lever, the former Lancashire, Tasmania and England fast bowler who later went on to coach Lancashire, Kenya and England was joined for the special event by John Harris, youngest player to ever represent Somerset at just 16, who later became a First Class umpire.
The match was played in great spirits and most unusually, ended in a tie at 187 each.
Appreciated by a large crowd. the cricket was enjoyed by guests, players, sponsors and spectators alike.
