BOTTOM of the league Dartmouth were unlucky to meet an Okehampton Columbines hockey team at full strength.
There was little doubt of the final result when Okehampton went ahead in the first five minutes. Jo Moppett scored the opening goal, which Okehampton quickly followed with a second.
The two young forwards for Okehampton, Jo Moppett and Kelly Cooper, were strong in attack and the Dartmouth defence could not cope with their pace and skill.
With wave upon wave of attack on the Dartmouth goal the defence was likely to crack and Columbines were 3-0 up at half time.
The second half followed the same pattern. Sue Stanbury took control of the middle.
Jane Jones, Alex Collins and Debbie Pritchard were also venturing into the circle to take shots at goal.
Dartmouth could not withstand the pressure and Okehampton ran out easy winners.
Okehampton Columbines expressed thanks to everyone for the tremendous support given to their coffee morning.
The club's annual meeting has now been scheduled for the evening of May 8.
