Mrs Ferrier-Kerr was presented with a card and flowers and garden tokens at a special assembly with staff and children, followed by a tea with homemade cakes made by the staff.
Senior teacher Barbara Earnshaw said: 'Mrs Ferrier-Kerr has been an important part of the children's school lives and will be missed by everyone.
'We wish her many happy hours in her garden and hope she will be back to visit us often.'
