SOME weeks ago my wife and I while on holidays in Cornwall, ended up visiting Devon for a few days. Tavistock to be exact.

Our car had developed a fuel problem (and as a lesson to us all) we had not taken our driving licence with us and so were unable to aquire a hire car. With a lack of interest all round we ended up at Vosper's at Tavistock where we were treated to some outstanding good old fashioned customer service by a small staff that went out of their way to locate and replace a fuel pump over two days in between their other booked jobs.

Staff next door at Morrison's started an early lunch for us to save us walking back from the town. With weather holding, the park and town were a gem and everyone we spoke with was so friendly and helpful as we did some unplanned shopping.

Well done, Tavistock, We will be back for another visit next year.
