I WOULD like through your paper to thank St Peter's Year 6, for the memorable and moving performance they gave at their leaving service at St Eustachius Church on Friday, July 17.

I felt immense pride when my grand-daughter stood on the stage and played her flute beautifully and so full of confidence. All the other parents and grandparents will have felt the same pride as each child played their part in the service.

These children have come a long way from the small infants when they started at St Rumon's to the responsible and likeable young people they are today.

They are a credit to their mums and dads and to the teaching of St Rumon's and St Peter's schools. They all deserve to do well in the future.

So, thanks and well done, St Peter's Year 6 — you were great.
