IN a close encounter Okehampton took the game to Stoke Hill, dominating possession and creating several good chances.
They came close when after good play through the middle of the park, Ollie Crimmins released on the left and this cross was met by Tom Stanbury, who volleyed against the crossbar. Another chance for Ollie saw him hit a first time shot but it went just wide.
Argyle took the lead, following great play down the right, when Ben Bickle passed in a cross that was just missed in the middle but Ollie picked it up and thumped it in for a great goal.
As the half wore on, Stoke Hill came more into the game but the Okehampton defence held firm until a minute before half time, when an uncharacteristic mistake let the Stoke Hill striker through.
Stoke Hill were pressing for another goal but a great header clearance from Ross Voaden kept the scores level.
Okehampton put in a good display in the second half with good solid performances from Josh Stanbury and Lewis Taylor keeping the opposition at bay. This all round team effort brought Argyle a well deserved away point.
