A WEST Devon girl was welcomed back this week as she returned from a missionary visit to the Philippines, made possible by New Life Church in Okehampton.
Debbie Colbear, who lives at Ashbury and attends New Life Church, spent a year in Davao City in the Philippines working with Muslim families.
Debbie is a qualified nurse and wanted to put her nursing experience to use in a difficult and desperate area.
The church sponsored Debbie and supported her by keeping in touch via text, e-mail and letter during her time away.
