CHILDREN from Lydford Primary School are helping National Trust wardens plant and weave various sculptures and structures for Lydford Gorge.

The project commemorates the Queen's Jubilee year and will be developed both this year and next.

Some of the sculptures will be in the shape of a beehive dome, an otter, and a spiral — all of which the children will be able to play in.

They will be constructed out of various materials, including growing willow, so that children visiting Lydford Gorge will have the opportunity to enjoy playing imaginative games in the structures.
