THE ladies appearing in Tavistock Theatre Company's forthcoming production of HMS Pinafore have appealed for more men to come and join them.

Gilbert and Sullivan's ever-popular nautical romp will have a twenties feel with some extended energetic dance routines and lots of topical humour when it comes to The Wharf, Tavistock, in May.

Director Tim Farmer is anxious to supply more men and any willing to come along and join in the production can be sure of a warm welcome. Those without natural dancing abilities will still be welcome in the chorus or in more static roles.

'HMS Pinafore will be staged for four performances at The Wharf commencing on Thursday, May 16, tickets will soon be made available at the box office.

For its main autumn production, the company has been fortunate to secure the rights for a major staging of My Fair Lady to take place at the Wharf in the week commencing Monday, October 28.

Open auditions for the starring roles of Eliza and Professor Higgins will take place in June and will be advertised closer to the time.

Gentlemen interested in joining the HMS Pinafore cast can ring Tim Farmer for more information on 01822 616896.
