TAVISTOCK men?s hockey team bounced back from last week?s defeat to deserve a hard fought victory against a useful Penzance.
Tavistock started with quickly flowing moves but found it hard to beat the impressive Penzance goalkeeper.
Penzance created several chances but the defence of Cowan, Lethbridge and Rodda stood firm with the help of Tavistock goalkeeper Bradley.
Tavistock changed up a gear in the second half and scored following some good short corner routines involving Way and Lethbridge.
The first came from a penalty flick and was scored by Way. The second was scored by captain Hess, and Nick Andrews followed up with a quick third.
Tavistock continued to push and Way scored a superb solo goal for Tavistock?s fourth. He completed his hat-trick and Tavistock?s fifth shortly after.
With Tavistock pushing for more goals a clean sheet was ensured by another solid display by Lethbridge who was voted man of the match for the third game in a row.
