CHILDREN from Tavistock College were sent home from school last Thursday after contractors working on the sports facilities development project went through an unmarked water main.
Due to health and safety, the school was closed until running water was available for the kitchen and toilets, as the water supply had to be shut off.
The incident occurred just after 8.30am and was fixed by around 3pm that same day.
The school was back to normal on Friday.
