The mayor of Tavistock, Cllr David Whitcomb, is inviting every resident of the town and surrounding villages to his civic service this Sunday.

The service at 6pm in St Eustachius' Church will be led by the Rev Tim Treanor, curate of Tavistock, and other ministers from the town, including David Palmer, the chair of Tavistock Area Christians Together, and the Rev Jeff Moles, of Tavistock Methodist Circuit.

Music will be led by the parish church choir, and the preacher will be the Rev Michael Brierley, priest-in-charge of Tavistock. The theme will be 'Leisure and Recreation', and the service will be followed by a reception in the town hall.

The mayor warmly invites all residents to this great celebration of town life.
