CHILDREN at Kelly Prep School had an extra special visitor recently.

The school has already raised £700 for Guide Dogs for the Blind, and receives regular 'pupdates' on how their dogs' training is progressing.

Recently they were visited by Janet who is training Bart, and Heather who has been supported by her dog Susie for three years.

They spoke to the pupils and watched part of a sponsored blindfolded obstacle race undertaken by all the pupils from nursery to year 6.

The children gained some idea of what it feels like to need guidance to get around and some wonderful teamwork was shown.

Pupils are now bringing in their donations and the school hopes to hit the £1,000 mark before Christmas.
