people suffering from sight or hearing loss in West Devon have been invited to join in a new group that will be meeting monthly in Okehampton. Deafblind UK will be holding a Sensory Group at Fairplace Church and its first meeting will take place between 10am and noon on Thursday, May 8 —all ages are welcome. Organiser Glynne Miller is the Deafblind UKs rural link officer for Devon and Cornwall and her job is to visit people with a combination of signt and hearing problems to offer advice and support. She said: 'Do you know of anyone who is deaf, blind or has a combined sight and hearing loss who needs help? 'If you would like advice on coping with the deafblindness/dual sensory loss or would like to know more about Deafblind UK's services then please contact me via the 24 hour free helpline on 0800 132320.' Glynne said she is hoping that in time, other such groups could be established in other towns and villages in West Devon.
