THE Tavonians Theatre Company will be holding a second radio play workshop next week, to build on the great success of the first one last month, and to explore the techniques still further.

The Tavonians are planning a number of radio play recordings which will be available through talking newspapers, hospital radio stations, and by download from their website. These workshops are part of the preparation for the recordings.

This month's workshop will be led by Ali Fife, chair of the Tavonians, who will be one of the radio play directors. Technical assistance will again be provided by the project leader, Graham Goddard. The workshop will include a reminder of some of the special techniques needed for radio work and there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone to do trial recordings and hear back the results.

A few short radio scripts have been selected which cover a variety of scenarios.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 23 at 7.30pm in the Guide Hall, by the entrance to Tavistock's Bedford Car Park. Anyone who would like to be involved is welcome to come along.
