A WAR Horse walk organised by Farms for City Children is being held next month. The two mile-walk is over the landscape seen in the hit film War Horse and tour guides Simon and Liz, who were involved with the filming, will take walkers around the hidden gems featured in the film. The walk on Sunday, September 28, starts at Sheepstor, Meavy, at 10.30am and aims to finish by 12.30pm at the Royal Oak in Meavy for lunch. All proceeds will go directly towards supporting the charity, founded by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare.
