CALLINGTON Town Band is seeking three musicians to help it fulfill its commitments for the coming year. The band is anxious to recruit a bass player, a trombonist and a first baritone. Instruments and uniforms are provided at no cost to the player. A euphonium has been bought for the band through the auspices of the Joan Gee Trust for a child of primary school age to learn and become a member of the training band. The band also has cornets, tenor horns, baritone horn and basses available for anyone, experienced player or beginner, who would like to join them. Senior members of the band will also be playing carols at the Queen?s Head in Albaston on the evening of December 20.
