A FOURTEENTH century historic moorland church will be open to visitors this summer.

St Mary's Church at Walkhampton is situated on the hill just outside the village and is generally locked for security reasons. But during June, July, August and September the church will be open between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with light refreshments available.

There is a large car park and leaflets detailing circular walks from the church for one, two, five and ten miles can be found in the porch.
