THIRTY people took part in the first ever annual Walk Three Villages for Teenage Cancer Trust last Saturday. The nine mile walk started at Yelverton and took walkers through Buckland Monachorum and Clearbrook. The walk was organised by Ruth Harris, a local Pilates teacher who has been supporting the charity for the past three years trying to raise the awareness of teenage cancer. Although Ruth had hoped more people would take part in the walk, she was delighted with the amount of money raised ? more than £700. On October 28 a Ceilidh will take place at Kelly College with the Homebrew Country Dance Band for Teenage Cancer Trust. Tickets will be available from October 1 at Fulfords Estate Agents in Tavistock.
