A FORMER Tavistock College student has had to postpone his 370-mile charity walk after damaging his knee. Tristan Coulshaw, 18, from Gunnislake, was walking from Plymouth to Land?s End and back, to raise £4,000 for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, but had to stop after twisting his knee. He first realised he had hurt himself while walking at Helford Passage and continued for a further four days thinking he ?could walk it off?, but announced defeat on reaching Land?s End. Tristan, who hopes to join Sandhurst in January, is raising money for the trust which helps soldiers and widows from Nepal, the third poorest country in the world. At the moment Tristan is attending physio sessions to build up his leg muscles for any hope of being fit enough to finish the walk. He plans to be back on his feet for July 20, starting from where he finished. If anyone wishes to help him increase the amount already raised for the trust he can be contacted on 01822 834512.
