IF you would like to spend a day on Dartmoor for a good cause, join a walk, run or ride this weekend in aid of mental health charity MIND.
Okehampton resident Christy Cruft is trekking through one of the national parks in Brazil this
October and needs to raise £2,500 before she goes — with her current total standing at £1,000 she hopes to reach her target this Sunday.
The fundraiser starts at Okehampton Camp between 10am and 12 noon and the off-road route will cover distances of 7 or 14 miles for walkers and runners and 16 miles for horse riders. There will be a half way stop at the Fox and Hounds.
Participants can pay £12 to enter or contact Christy on 01837 54933 for a sponsor form. There are prizes for the highest sponsorship entry. Local masseur Phil Warman will be available for those 'in need' at the finish.
