AN opportunity to join a guided walk around Rame Head, often described as the 'Forgotten Corner of Cornwall', is being provided by Calstock Footpath Society this weekend.
The society has arranged a 4.5-mile walk, starting at the Coastwatch Station, that provides a mix of coastal, field, quiet road and woodland walking with views to Whitsand and the Hoe.
It is a fairly comfortable walk with one steep section of 0.3 miles. A pole or walking stick would be handy on single file paths.
Walkers should bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing and footwear. The walk is not suitable for dogs.
Non-members of the society are asked for a £2 donation. Meet at Rame Head Coastwatch Station at 11am on Sunday April 15. GPS N50 19.046 W4.13.177. SX 4208 4874.
