Dartmoor Preservation Association has organised a walk to Beardown Man on Sunday, October 14.
Starting from Two Bridges, the walk will go up the West Dart to Wistmans Wood, into the moor via Crow Tor until reaching Beardown Man — the Bronze Age menhir.
It then turns down the Cowsic Valley to Lydford and Beardown Tors and returns to Two Bridges. It will cover seven to eight miles and take approximately six hours. Come dressed for all weathers and bring lunch.
Meet at Two Bridges Quarry car park at 10am. More information from John Watson on 01822 614855.
