SPACES are still available for two exciting events in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this weekend.

Join a six-mile walk and talk to discuss the background history, practice and purpose of lime burning in the parish of Calstock. Stephen Docksey, of the Calstock Footpath Society, will lead the 'Calstock Limekilns Canter' on Saturday September 22. The walk starts at Cotehele Quay at 10.30am; there will be the option to do the full walk through to Gunnislake Newbridge (4pm finish) or stop in Calstock (1pm finish). Also on Saturday, there will be a jewellery making workshop 'Wire Work Bracelets'. September's class explores the use of wire in jewellery making, and shows how to use different tools to shape wire to form wrapped loops, your own chain and clasps. Wire Work Bracelets takes place from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday (September 22) at the Tamar Valley Centre in Gunnislake. The workshops costs £45 per person, to include all materials, tools and refreshments. Please bring lunch.
