THE business people of Okehampton are getting into the spirit of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, with more than 40 businesses decorating their shop windows for the jubilee window display competition.

The organisers of the town's jubilee celebrations in Simmons Park have invited shop owners in the town to decorate their shop front to drum up enthusiasm for the event.

Each business that enters will have the chance to win an engraved commemorative salver.

You can vote for your favourite from now until the jubilee weekend.

You can use the voting slip in the Times, or you can pick them up from Donald's Menswear, where you can deposit your voting slips.

The last day of voting will be Saturday, June 2, and the winner will be revealed on Wednesday, June 6. The salver will be presented to the winner by the town mayor, Cllr the Rev Mike Davies.
