IF making new friends, working in an amazing place and knowing you are helping a great cause are your new year's resolutions, you may want to come along to a volunteer day at Cotehele.
Volunteers at the National Trust estate help look after the house, gardens, wider estate and mill. There are volunteers in every department but they are always on the look out for more, particularly to help with events, in the countryside and at the Mill.
Charmian Saunders, visitor services and volunteer manager, said: 'Our volunteers are very precious to us; we could not open our doors without them. Volunteering is a very rewarding experience as you get to meet a whole new set of friends and become involved in the day to day running of Cotehele whilst having fun.'
Volunteer day is Wednesday, January 30 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. People can meet the staff and current volunteers, have tea, cake and a chat. It is free and there is no need to book.
